Stars and Stripes Learning Station is once again
participating in the SCRIP gift certificate program!

What is SCRIP?

•Great Lakes SCRIP makes available to not-for-profit organizations such as SaSLS, gift certificates to use for fundraising.

•We purchase gift certificates at a 2% to 25% reduction in price. We sell them for the actual amount printed on the certificate.

•The profit is in the difference between the amount that we pay for the certificates and what we sell them for.

Why should I purchase them?

•Each certificate has a % assigned to it. Families who purchase the certificates will receive a tuition credit equal to ½ the % assigned to it.

•Example: $100 of Applebee’s gift certificates (per week) will net a $4.00 tuition credit. $4.00 x 52 weeks equals a tuition credit of $208 in a year.

I’m Interested. What do I do next?

•Look over the current list of gift certificates available at the SaSLS front desk or the HDI Federal Center ITR office.

•Decide which gift certificates you would like along with the denominations and amounts you would like to purchase.

•Fill out a SCRIP order form (available at SaSLS, ITR office or on our website) and turn it in along with payment – orders are all prepaid. Orders are due at the beginning of each month.
